What is Green Audit?

Green auditing is the systematic identification, quantification, recording, reporting, and analysis of various establishments’ environmental diversity components. Its goal is to examine environmental practices both inside and outside of the concerned sites that have an impact on the environment.

A green audit can help a college figure out how and where they’re wasting the most energy, water, and resources, so they can figure out how to make adjustments and save money. It can also be helpful in planning a recycling project or improving a waste minimization strategy. It has the potential to raise health awareness while also promoting environmental awareness, morals, and ethics. It gives staff and students a greater knowledge of the campus’s environmental impact.

Therefore, the purpose of the present green audit is to identify, quantify, describe and prioritize the framework of Environment Sustainability in compliance with the applicable regulations, policies and standards.

Main Objective of Green Audit :

· Geographical Location

· Floral and Fauna diversity

· Pollution parameters

· Energy Consumption

· Waste disposal system

· Ambient Environmental Condition

· Awareness & Training on Sustainability for Students

Why, Green Audit Is Necessary For NAAC ?

All higher education institutions, notably state universities, must be accredited by the NAAC. Universities that do not have NAAC certification are ineligible for UGC grants, RUSA grants, and other forms of financial aid. NAAC accreditation, on the other hand, determines the institute’s quality in terms of education, facilities, research, teaching and learning, and so on. The most sought-after institutes are those with top NAAC rankings such as ‘A++,’ ‘A+,’ and ‘A,’ as they provide high-quality education. On the other hand, after completing the first or second batch of courses, all UGC-recognized institutes must apply for NBA/NAAC/other accreditation.

Green Audit is allocated to NAAC’s Criteria 7 (National Assessment and Accreditation Council), a self-governing Indian organisation that grades institutions as Grade A, Grade B, or Grade C based on the scores assigned at the time of accreditation.

We help you to achieve 22 credits in the NAAC in the sectors Of Environment, Biodiversity, and energy conservation. It will also help you gain, 6 NAAC Metric Nos.

Our Approach

BIODIVERSITY

Will provide information on the distribution and status of several elements of biological diversity. Detailed information of flora and fauna in the campus will be recorded

ENVIRONMENT

Will evaluate to identify environmental compliance and management system implementation gaps, along
with related corrective actions.

ENERGY

Will inspect, survey and analysis of energy flow for energy conservation and water conservation in the
campus.

CERTIFICATION

Green audit can be a useful tool for a University to determine how and where they are using the most energy or water or resources; the University can then consider how to implement changes and make the campus green
